Avnet Completes Bell and Tallard Acquisitions

We are pleased to announce that Avnet has completed its acquisitions of Bell Microproducts and Tallard Technologies on Tuesday.
The acquisition of Bell Micro strengthens Avnet’s position in North America and Europe and also expands Avnet’s presence in Latin America. As a value-added distributor of a wide range of high-tech products, solutions and services including storage systems, servers, software, computer components and peripherals, Bell Micro is recognized in the industry as a specialist in storage products. Bell Micro’s product line and technical expertise increases Avnet’s offerings of value-added solutions for the data center and embedded computing markets, and complements Avnet’s existing line card and technical expertise, creating even more opportunities for cross selling.
The Tallard acquisition complements the Bell Micro footprint in Latin America, firmly establishing Avnet Technology Solutions as a leading player in this important region. With headquarters in Miami, Fla., Tallard distributes servers, software, peripherals, convergence equipment and enterprise integration services directed toward resellers, solution providers and systems integrators. This acquisition supports our stated strategy to expand our distribution of data center products into high-growth markets in Latin America. The acquisition of Tallard adds scale and aligns well with our goal of delivering complete solutions that add more value and enable our partners to grow faster than the market.
With the combined acquisitions of Bell Micro and Tallard, Avnet widens its lead as the largest value-added technology distributor globally with an annual revenue run rate of approximately $22 billion. We are now able to deliver more technology and more solutions than ever before to a broader market in North America, Latin America and Europe, which further accelerates our partners’ and suppliers’ success.
